Why we recommend and insist on Paypal ?

Paypal is the most reliable, most trusted and highly secure on line payment gateway in the world. The biggest advantage of Paypal is that no merchant ever needs to know your credit card details. Many merchants insist that you give your credit card details under the guise that they need to be verify your ID and that they will not charge you during trial periods, if any. Please do not accept such arguments under any circumstances. Paypal has over 50 million customers and has an excellent verification process. There is no reason why others should verify you once again when you are already Paypal verified. We will never ask you your credit card details. We do not have the resources to protect data security. Maintaining data security is very expensive and complicated and there is no guarantee that your data is secure with all merchants. There are zillions of them and not all are trustworthy and you do not know whom to trust. The charges of Paypal to provide this service to merchants is peanuts for the highly secure services provided by them. They have a very good dispute resolution system and take care of both the merchants' and customers' interests. They do not charge any fees from the customers. The customers need not be members of Paypal to make online payments. All they need is a valid credit card. The merchant and you as a customer can sleep in peace when Paypal is taking care of the online payments.

Terms

• This promo scheme applies only to new Domain Names registered and only for the FIRST YEAR of Registration. Registrants should pay for 2 years to avail the special promo price. Normal charges apply for the second year. 

• Renewals and Transfers will NOT attract this special pricing.

• There are absolutely NO restrictions on the number of Domain Name registrations.

• All payments must done by a valid credit card through Paypal and you need not be a member.

• All domain customers will have to register and create an account with us at the registry to manage the domain by themselves. Every new domain registration will come with DNS servers for parking by default and should be changed by the customer at the time of hosting. When the customer chooses to host with us, the parking page will be the home page of www.mmguniversal.com, till such time the customer's site is ready for hosting. The DNS details are available at the bottom of the page under the heading 'Technical details'.

• There are some customers who are not familiar with the technical processes like DNS and MX management etc., In some cases the customers do not want to use Paypal or do not have a credit card and want to pay directly. In such cases we will create an account and manage it for them. In all such cases we will levy a service charge of USD 4.00 per domain per year to manage it on their behalf. This will be charged at the time of registration or renewal of the domain by us. For example, if the domain price is USD 8.99, then we will bill for USD 12.99 every year, till such time the customers decide to manage their domains on their own. This is an option that can be availed, if required, by all customers.

• We offer an entire range of standard web and e-mail packages through us and all customers can opt for any of them based on their choice. All details are available in the customers' domain registrar's control panel or in the home page of our registry.

• In case the customers do not want to go for hosting but want e-mail addressed to their domain ID forwarded to some other ID, we can arrange the same. This can be specific or 'catch all'  facility. We will create a zone file for them which can be edited at any time. They can also opt for web forwarding with this arrangement to any page at no extra cost. The SMTP for sending mail using this ID is not possible unless customer's ISP allows it. Most good ISPs will consider it as a phishing attempt and disallow it. We have a solution for you to this problem. MMG offers free Gmail in association with Google Inc., and the biggest advantage is that Google allows aliases and its SMTP can be used by any registered ID, after verification. It has mail forwarding, POP/IMAP access facilities and world class apps & utilities. Google provides 7 numbers of MX servers. Choose Gmail service from MMG. The offer is 7227 Mb space that will last you a lifetime. Please visit www.mmgmail.org for the terms and conditions of this offer. This free service can be used by individuals only. The ID you@mmgmail.org that is used for logging in should not be used for business and commercial purposes by members. While you can choose any alias as the default ID, all mail sent using Google servers SMTP will carry the header 'sent by: 'Gmail from Google'.

• For details on charges for our exclusive zone file service, please get in touch with us.  This will be available only to customers who register their domains through us. They need not go in for web hosting or e-mail services with us under this arrangement. They can even host with free hosting sites and we will arrange for finger pointing. Such customers will not have access to the zone file control panel. We will make the necessary changes as and when required by them, upon request. Under such an arrangement, e-mail forwarding is activated in 24 hours and DNS changes takes upto 72 hours to propagate through the internet. 

• In case a customer owns a registered domain name but wants to go in only for e-mail account, it is possible. In such a case the MX server setting in the customer's domain registrar's control panel needs to be changed pointing to our MX server. The details are available at the bottom of the page under 'Technical Details'. 

• We have a very strict anti spamming policy. Please see the section titled 'Mail Forwarding' at the bottom of the page to the right.

• We will not allow any pornographic, illegal or immoral or fanatical or sectarian or hate mongering sites to be hosted with us. Please see our banned contents policy.

Important Announcement dated November 18, 2007 and other points to be noted

• We will be the technical contact for all domains registered by us upon request till such time all technical and commercial matters are resolved and then transferred to the customer. The administrative and billing contact will be as provided by customers at the time of registration. The customers can always change the administrative, technical and billing contact details when the domain is unlocked or by us upon request, when it is locked.

• If your domain expired with your old Registrar and you renewed it with them, then do not Transfer it within 45 days of the previous expiry date since it will not add 1 more year to your domain name, and you will lose out on the Renewal fees paid to the older Registrar.

• ICANN & Registry regulations prohibit the transfer of domain names that have been registered or previously transferred within the last 60 Days. It cannot be transferred within 60 days before expiry. Please wait for 60 days as applicable before applying for a transfer of such domain names. Most registrars lock it during this period. During this periods, changes can be made only through the registrar.

• As a customer, you also have the facility to lock it, so that it is not transferred or changes made without your knowledge. Make sure you unlock the domain before requesting for a transfer. This lock is different from the registrar's lock. Most registrars provide this facility to do it on your own in the control panel. However, you may have to ask for it in some cases. By default, most registrars lock the domains after registrations so that unauthorized transfers do not take place. This is a standard and recommended security procedure. We recommend you always keep your domains locked and unlock it only when you want to transfer it. 

Important Notes for transfers

• FREE! 1 Year Extension Included. We will add one year to the current expiry date of your domain name for no additional cost. For example, if your domain expires on 5th Nov 2006 and you place a Transfer request on 17th Sept 2006 then after the transfer is complete, the new expiry date of your domain name will be 5th Nov 2007 i.e. you will not lose anytime even if you choose to transfer months before your domains expiry date.

• All Transfers are Risk-Free. If for any reason, your domain transfer fails or is cancelled, we will instantly credit your customer advance account with the complete amount that you paid for such transfer, no questions asked.

• All Transfers are Seamless. Your domain's DNS and MX servers are not altered during the transfer process, hence your domain and mail will not face ANY downtime during this process.

• You will need the Transfer Authorization Code or also known as: "Transfer Secret" or "EPP Auth Code" to initiate transfer. Most registrars have this code for your access in the domain registrar's control panel that is made available to you as a customer. Some registrars keep this information not accessible and you will have to ask for it. Please note that as a customer you have the right to ask for it at anytime. Please see the related points given in the column to the left. 

• Once the transfer order is placed, the administrative contact of each domain name for which you have placed a transfer request will receive an email, which asks for confirmation of such transfer. You would need to click on a link inside each of these emails for the transfer request to be sent to the registry. The losing registrar in almost all cases will send you emails asking for confirmation per domain name - you can typically choose to ignore these emails. The transfers normally take about 5 days and you will receive a confirmation from your new registrar as soon as it is completed.
